【募集の背景 / Purpose & Scope】
Candidate Delivery group in Engineered Small Molecules (ESM) conducts medicinal chemistry research programs/projects, mainly at Optimization Stage in Oncology Research. To achieve this, ESM needs qualified medicinal chemists having expertise and motivation on drug design and synthesis of complex and unconventional hetero-bifunctional chemicals.
This position is to create differentiating clinical candidates based on new chemical modalities such as PROTACs and next generation of proximity inducing platforms. A person in this position will need to work globally with the program stakeholders in the role of program management, biology, ADME, and toxicology as well as external partners such as CROs or research collaborators.
【職務の内容 / Essential Job Responsibilities】

- Work as a program member to deliver clinical candidates
- Design and synthesize target molecules as a program member and analyse assay data for the next drug design
- Collaborate with CRO to promote a research program effectively
- Propose efficient synthetic route to accelerate CMC activity after candidate nomination
- Participate in program-related meetings and contribute to the progress of the program through the suggestions and discussions
- Ensure daily experiments to be complied with internal and external laws, regulations, and compliance standards

【応募要件 / Qualifications】
＜必須 / Required＞
- Master’s degree in life science
- 5+ years of experience as a medicinal chemist in the industry
- Good communication skills in English to work with global collaborators and CRO partners
- An interest and motivation for the drug discovery process and chemical based new modalities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
＜歓迎 / Preferred＞
- Ph.D in life science
- Ability and skills on AI technology and automation for effective research operation
- Experience in working with cross-cultural teams.

②裁量労働制の場合：裁量労働手当として職務グレードに応じて50,000～100,000円支給
③フレックスタイム制の場合：月間の所定労働時間を超えて勤務する時間に対して時間外勤務手当を支給
①Base salary: will be decided by the candidate's experience, skill and capability.
②When Discretionary Work System is applied: Discretionary work allowance will be paid.(50,000～100,000yen, based on the Grade)
③When Flextime System is applied: Overtime allowance will be paid for time worked in excess of prescribed working hours.
