The position drives key outcomes by overseeing and executing complex logistics projects, ensuring operational
excellence for commercial and R&D logistics. This role is essential for optimizing processes, managing
compliance, and implementing strategic improvements and initiatives. Unique in its focus, the position integrates
subject matter expertise with strategic leadership to enhance logistics efficiency and effectiveness across the
organization.

• Senior thought leader that delivers key outcomes for core/ critical projects/ products or processes for
Astellas SCM Logistics & Distribution
• Accountable for multiple complex and critical projects for the area managed
• Outcomes are achieved by individual or through project teams, utilizing subject matter expertise; may lead
cross-functional projects
• Recommends solutions for complex problems based on in-depth interpretation and analysis of issues to
develop alternatives and update practices and policies for area or team managed
• Responsible for knowledge management and capability development for area
• May lead cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence/ quality in the design, execution, and
completion of studies/ projects
• May directly supervise people and/ or manage contractors supporting project(s) or process(es)

【応募要件 / Qualifications】
＜必須 / Required＞
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Logistics, Business Administration, or a
related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics and distribution management, with a proven track record of
handling complex projects.
• Expert knowledge of logistics software solutions, data analysis
• Expert knowledge of Logistics & Distribution processes and developments and best practices in
warehousing and transport for pharmaceutical distribution
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.
• Fluent in written and spoken English
＜歓迎 / Preferred＞
• Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
• Strong expertise in global logistics, including import/export regulations and compliance.
• Experience managing logistics service providers, negotiating contracts, and optimizing logistics
processes.
• Understanding of Good Distribution Practices
• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., LCB, APICS, CSCMP).
• Extensive experience in cost-saving initiatives and budget management within logistics operations.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and government permits.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
• Advanced proficiency in logistics software and data automation tools.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with
suppliers and stakeholders.
