Purpose & Scope:

This role is “The Head of Treasury” reporting to “The Head of Treasury & Tax”.

 

  • The Head of Treasury is responsible for managing all global treasury strategic activities, including development of optimal financing options and efficient capital structure strategies depending on the financial market condition.
  • The Head of Treasury should seek operational excellence, and also provide the best solutions and financing plan to cope with many projects including M&A
  • Additionally, the Head of Treasury would be responsible for driving balance sheet and working capital initiatives, as well as supporting strategic expansion and divestment of the company

 

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:   

  • Develop and analyze cash flow forecasts with Corporate FP&A, BD and other functions, and maintain appropriate liquidity
  • Monitor and analyze financial markets (FX, equities and bonds), monetary & fiscal policies, related regulations and economic conditions in principal countries consistenly, reflect them financing plan, and report them to management in a timely manner
  • Develop optimal options and strategies for funding as to financial market, and manage them to realize competitive and sustainable debt structure which includes CP, overdraft, short-term and long-term loan, SB, CB, ABCP, AB-Loan, etc.
  • Lead capital allocation to support efficient and consistent capital structure aligned with funding needs or cash position, and execute the most appropriate option(s) depending on market condition (e.g. dividend, share buy-back, equity finance, etc.)
  • Provide relevant financing structure for M&A activities with Business Development and Corporate FP&A, and execute the plan including PMI
  • Develop global cash management systems aiming at error-free global treasury operation
  • Maintain stable operations through monitoring them with professional eyes
  • Monitor cash & investment balance at group companies, and structure and manage inter-company fund movements and cash repatriations in coordination
  • Supervise to manage and minimize FX risk and interest rate risk
  • Drive balance sheet and working capital initiatives
  • Promote knowledge on treasury across finance and non-finance functions
  • Manage relationships with external parties including financial institutions
  • Develop and ensure insurance strategies and schemes

 

Quantitative Dimensions:

The role will have 9 direct reports.

 

Organizational Context:

Internal

The Head of Treasury & Tax, CFO and extended EC

Respective heads of Corporate Finance & Control, Corporate FP&A, Business Development, R&D Finance, Commercial Finance, GBS, Future Capabilities and Transformation

Internal Audit, Legal, Investor Relations and Corporate Strategy

External

Financial Institutions, external auditors, professional service providers, external contractors and training service providers

 

Qualifications: 

   

    Required

 

Minimum Qualification

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline;
  • Fluency in local language, English conversational and business English (equivalent to TOEFL IBT 105+, or 7.5 IELTS, CAE- Cambridge English advanced exam, TOEIC Listening 400+, Reading 400+, Speaking 150+, Writing 150+)

 

Minimum Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in finance / treasury

 

Job Specific Skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial markets across different geographies, and of corporate finance methodologies
  • Advantaged analytical skill on financial markets, global economies and related regulations
  • Previous experience with corporate finance / treasury
  • Extensive knowledge of treasury related accounting / tax standards / regulations is required
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

 

   

    Preferred

 

  • Master’s Degree in Finance
  • Master of business administration (MBA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Experience in managing global finance operations is highly preferred
  • Exposure to SAP ERP accounting and finance systems
