【募集の背景 / Purpose & Scope】
Advanced Modeling & Assay (AMA) is responsible for the development of novel assay platforms leveraging digital and robotics technologies. AMA is also responsible for establishing advanced human cell assay platforms that utilize technologies such as iPSCs and Organ-on-a-Chip to validate new project hypotheses and drug candidates.
This position is a biologist who develops the next generation advanced cell assay platforms with improved specific targeting, efficacy and safety using holistic approach.
In addition, she/he is expected to pro-actively and globally interact and collaborate with relevant collaborators aiming to solve the problem on experiments associated with not only assigned projects, but also next generation advanced cell assay platforms.
【職務の内容 / Essential Job Responsibilities】

・Execute the activities that are required to build new assay platform by using technologies, such as digital technology for automation/visualization, iPSC/MPS, Biology/cell-based screening.
・Utilize digital transformation with knowledge of digital technology.
・Provide ideas to develop Modality/Technology platforms by utilizing existing research platform
・Create scientific data in collaboration within the team or cross-functional team
・Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses. Utilize and modify new methods and technologies for project advancement
・Communicate with internal/external collaborators, technical staffs and/or CROs to promote research projects

Working location: Tsukuba, Japan

【応募要件 / Qualifications】
・Ph.D. in biology/pharmacology or equivalent related experiences
・Three years or more of working experience at a biotech/pharmaceutical company or the equivalent experience at academic research
・Knowledge and experience of drug discovery and development. Especially translational sciences
・General knowledge of cutting-edge science regarding to iPSCs, human organ models such as organ-on-chip, organoid, microphysiological system), AI/robotics
・Knowledge of cell-based phenotypic assays to discover hit molecules, as well as to investigate mode-of-action/efficacy/safety of drug candidate
・Developing communication skills (active & passive) in own language and in English
・Self-motivated, excellent team player with good communication skills
＜必須 / Must＞
・Technical proficiency in assay development of advanced cellular model (Organoid, 3D culture, MPS) through 3+ year experience
・Satisfying two or more as follow.
-Experiences for development of human organ models such as organ-on-chip, organoid, microphysiological systems from human cell sources such as stem cell-derived cells, cell lines, human primary cell/organs)
‐Experience for conducting assays, preferably using imｍune cells, in human organ models
‐Experience working on drug discovery projects
・Communication skills (active & passive) in own language and in English
・Join discussion in scientific meetings and regular research
・Giving presentations

・Expertise in immunology

①基本給：当人の経歴・技術・技能等を考慮して決定
②裁量労働制の場合：裁量労働手当として職務グレードに応じて50,000～100,000円支給
③フレックスタイム制の場合：月間の所定労働時間を超えて勤務する時間に対して時間外勤務手当を支給
①Base salary: will be decided by the candidate's experience, skill and capability.
②When Discretionary Work System is applied: Discretionary work allowance will be paid.(50,000～100,000yen, based on the Grade)
③When Flextime System is applied: Overtime allowance will be paid for time worked in excess of prescribed working hours.
