Purpose & Scope

This position is responsible for enhancing Astellas' Sustainability (SUS) management to accelerate Strategic Goal 4 (SG4) in CSP2021; deepen our engagement in Sustainability. 

This position is taking a lead for important initiatives in collaboration with SUS members and other internal stakeholder to achieve annual objectives. 

Also, this position will communicate with external stakeholders such as ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) evaluation institutes.

Lead one or more task(s)/project(s) related to the annual objective.

Manage multiple tasks/projects and key deliverables under supervision of her/his manager or another more senior colleague.

Expected to complete the tasks/projects with an appropriate level of independence in timely manner, pro-actively seeking line management intervention

Essential Job Responsibilities


・Involve in Annual Planning/KPI setting process/budget planning and provide insight based on his/her role

・Coordinate cross-functional discussion for annual objective to develop action plan and KPI

・ Develop a draft presentation material for QRM (Quarterly Report Meeting)

Data analysis

・Lead one or two ESG/SRI (Socially Responsible Investment) rating response

・Analyze ESG data to identify issue/opportunity


・Lead one or more tasks that are related to the department objective including new initiative, and complete in collaboration with relevant team in timely manner

・Manage S-WG (Social working group) or G-WG (Governance working group)

・POL/GL/SOP development and management



BS or BA degree

English business communication (writing, speaking)

Communication ability with cross-functional team and external stakeholders

Proven ability of project management

Result oriented behavior and mind


・Experience in Sustainability, ESG and Access to Health

①Base salary: will be decided by the candidate's experience, skill and capability.

②When Discretionary Work System is applied: Discretionary work allowance will be paid.(50,000~100,000yen, based on the Grade)

③When Flextime System is applied: Overtime allowance will be paid for time worked in excess of prescribed working hours.
