【募集の背景 / Purpose & Scope】
As Lead HEOR, you will be an integral part of the Medical Affairs Japan team to lead (or co-lead) real-world evidence generation projects for one or more Astellas’ priority products.
Pro-actively formulate, consolidate, and implement Astellas’ HEOR/real-world evidence generation strategies and ensure that regional perspectives and strategies are integrated within Global/Regional medical plan, brand plan, and integrated value and evidence generation plan.
You will also be responsible for developing, managing, and delivering real-world evidence through various scientific approaches including, but not limited to, comparative effectiveness, patient reported outcomes, preference surveys, epidemiological analyses, and cost-effectiveness analysis (including Chuikyo’s cost-effectiveness evaluation) & budgetary impact analyses.
This position requires excellent interpersonal and matrix leadership skills to support effective strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders as well as internal Global/Regional teams such as Brand Teams, Core Medical Teams, Core Health Economics Teams, Value Teams.

【職務の内容 / Essential Job Responsibilities】

• Co-develop integrated global value plan, provide regional input into integrated global brand plan.
• In line with regional brand plans, develop HEOR strategies and projects that are evidence-based, scientifically and technically valid, and impactful to fulfil unmet medical/evidence gaps.
• In collaboration with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders, lead HEOR projects for assigned product(s) through developing research protocols, analysis plans and final reports, and ensure they are successfully executed/completed and published in peer-reviewed journals within timelines and budget.
• Closely partnering with Global/Regional Market Access & Pricing and the Japan value team, lead the development of local cost-effectiveness models to meet Japan’s HTA (Chuikyo’s cost-effectiveness evaluation) submission requirements and ensure alignment with the global value strategies.
• Maintain sound and integrated partnership within global/regional Medical Affairs and cross-functional colleagues to identify collaborative opportunities, ensure optimal alignment, leverage resources, and support business priorities.
• Represent Astellas on HEOR issues at regional/global forums, conferences and/or professional associations to stay updated on emerging HEOR & HTA trends and techniques.

【応募要件 / Qualifications】
<必須 / Required>
• Degree in Health Economics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health Sciences, Pharmacy or any other relevant degree in Life Sciences.
• >3 years of relevant experience in at least one of the following fields: Outcomes Research, Health-related quality of life (HRQOL), Health Economics, Clinical Research, Epidemiology, Health Policy
• Sound understanding of the Japanese healthcare system, pricing and/or Chuikyo cost-effectiveness evaluation process.
• Track record for peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese (including official communications written and verbally with Japan’s regulatory authorities) and English.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills working within cross-functional teams

<歓迎 / Preferred>
• Advanced Degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) with consideration for MPH or other advanced degree related to Health Economics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine or any other relevant degree in Life Sciences.
• Knowledge and/or experience in biostatistical or real-world data research.
• Experience in the Chuikyo cost-effectiveness evaluation process.
• Experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry

②裁量労働制の場合:裁量労働手当として職務グレードに応じて50,000~100,000円支給
③フレックスタイム制の場合:月間の所定労働時間を超えて勤務する時間に対して時間外勤務手当を支給
①Base salary: will be decided by the candidate's experience, skill and capability.
②When Discretionary Work System is applied: Discretionary work allowance will be paid.(50,000~100,000yen, based on the Grade)
③When Flextime System is applied: Overtime allowance will be paid for time worked in excess of prescribed working hours.
